This is a “sanitized” 2017 version of ViolationInfo.com’s “Second Notice of Violation & Summons” for Atlanta on behalf of City of Atlanta’s School Bus Safety Program.
This is not to be confused with the Fulton County program which is different and separate from the Atlanta program.
For someone to contest or dispute the citation, the recipient should think very carefully before agreeing to the statements below.
I am requesting to dispute this citation and appear in the Municipal Court. While I understand the City of Atlanta has the burden of proof in this case, it is my sole responsibility to subpoena any witness and bring to court any evidence in support of my case I understand that once this dispute is filed, I will be required to personally appear in Court and the Court is not limited by any pre-posted or stipulated penalty.
Under penalties of perjury, I declare that I have read the foregoing dispute form and that the facts stated in it are true. I also understand that the penalty for providing incorrect, false or misleading statements may lead to criminal prosecution.
In my opinion, agreeing to these statements actually strengthens the case against the recipient and it is heavily reliant on most people’s legal ignorance. I will be doing a deeper analysis of these statements and what it could mean to any person who might agree and sign to these statements.
Don’t be so quick to enter this process. You might be better off just staying quiet and laying low.
